I finally have decided to add a Blythe doll to my little collection. Blythe were, after all, the inspiration for Pullip, and a craze long before Pullip appeared. I discovered Pullip when I had made some Blythe clothes for a friend, and was searching for Blythe clothing patterns online. The vintage style of Blythe, and some new ones, scare me. I don't like the ones with orange eyechips, or with really dark makeup. But, with a little research, I found a few different Blythes I liked. Included was Violet. Someone posted her for sale on a Blythe forum that I visit occasionally, so I snapped her up. She is now on her way to me. You can see a pic of her HERE.
So, my little dolly family now has 5 Pullips and 1 Blythe. I'm also going to add a Dal soon (made by the makers of Pullip, but smaller), and I's also like to add a couple of Pullip and Blythe mini's into the mix too. Rob's probably having trouble breathing as he reads this, but don't worry dear, I don't mean all at once. It took me a year to buy a Blythe, and I'm still thinking about parting with a Pullip or 2, plus I still have a few pricey MLP's to Ebay off, so fret not! Thank god the Dolls can't overrun the house like the ponies did. ^_^
