What Shitty Week

| No TrackBacks

The long days and short nights are really getting to me. I'm up everyday by 7 to drive Rob to work, and by the time I get home from work and wind down, I usually get to sleep at 1 or 2 am. So, Monday thru Friday all I'm getting is 5-6 hours sleep. I'm lucky enough to catch a nap a day or 2 a week. Overall though, they don't help that much. They're more like a band aid. Apparantly though, Rob's going to start working an evening shift, and with any luck, it will be similar to mine, so then we won't need to get up at an ungodly hour. Here's to hoping. I haven't even started at the zoo yet, that's this weekend. Although, that's not really work; it's way too much fun. 7 days a week of work will be a little trying I'm sure, but as long as Rob's work schedule changes to evenings, things should be good.

In the mean time, I'll just have to cope. I may have made a stop to Keating's this evening, as it's been awhile before I've bought myself some cigars. I got a couple of flavored Colts (Colts are my faves anyways), and a pack of chocolate flavored Neos. They're not bad.

Oh, and to help cope with the stress, I went and bought a big mother bag of cherries at Superstore. Man, they're good. I think I'm going to make a cherry pie tomorrow too. Yum.

I finally joined Facebook, after much harassment from Rob. I've already reconnected with a lot of old friends. I'm glad I finally did it. It seems pretty neat. I even took the time to fill in my profile with a bit of babblng. I'll go through flickr and add a few pics too as soon as I get around to it.

I'm still set against joining MySpace.

I Won!

I never win anything. Until to day at work. I won a $20 empire theatres gift card. And I didn't have to do a damn thing. Thats cool. I figured I'd use it to go see Transformers with Rob, but Bucky informed me that he is going with Rob, so I guess I'll just have to go by myself! omg, wait, frig Transformers, Harry Potter opens soon. ooooo ya

Crappy Weekend

| No TrackBacks

Our weekend was fairly eventful. The biggest thing was Rob getting hit by a car on Sunday. He was on his bike, and the guy in the car took a ahrd sudden right, so Rob smashed right into the side of him. Rob did a good job of swerving and avoiding most of the impact though. I also happened to be there and see it happen. I was in the car, and I saw it in my rearview mirror. I spun into a parking lot and ran like hell. There was also a cop sitting in his car on the corner where it happened, but he of course didn't see a thing becuase he had his face buried in his computer. I saw Rob was sitting up, so I stopped at the cop car long enough to tell him to get his arse in gear. When I got across the street, Rob was laying down and in shock. He didn't have any major cuts or scratches, just some road rash, and his helment wasn't scratched at all, so it didn't look like he hit his head. We got him over into the shade on the grass, and he sat there for a bit until he felt better. He's feeling much better now, and his bike is fine too. The only thing that didn't come out of the ordeal ok was his cell phone, which was in the back pocket of his jersey. The screen is all smashed. We had just gotten our new cell phones exactly one week before that too. Rob's been researching the different options he has for his phone now, since Rogers told him there's nothing they can do. It's looking like it may cost a couple of hundred dollars, and sorry Bert, but if that's the case, you can get a friggin cheapy model phone!

If anyone has an old Rogers phone, drop Rob an email!

Continuing with our weekend, we also got rear ended at the Tim Horton's drive thru. It was a very light bump, there was no damage, but apparanty I looked like I was super ripe mad when I got out of the car. hahaha

Yeah, I'm tired of typing, and we're getting busy here at work. Gotta run
